EDITOR'S NOTE: This weekly summary touches on some of the games played in the recent past and highlights some games of interest in the current week. For more in-depth coverage, click on the DAY OF THE WEEK for more coverage for that day, including box scores, articles, and galleries.

There were sixty-one games played lsince the start of games on April 29th and although there were some exciting ones the majority were mismatches, demonstrating that some players worked more than others in the "year without games". With travel concerns at the moment there are only eight out of section games scheduled and four have been played. Section Five has won all four.

# 3095  Thomas, Spencerport and Penn Yan Win

Saturday: DAY IN REVIEW: Webster Thomas scored the first goal of the game and although Fairport quickly tied it, the Titans went ahead early in the second quarter and never gave up the lead in their 7-5 win at Fairport this afternoon. The spectators saw a very defensive game with Titan senior goalie Ethan Ruller making All-American saves and Fairport junior goalie McLean Ralston making 12s (63%).

# 3092  Two Competitive games and More Mismatches

Thursday: DAY IN REVIEW: The season is one week old and there continues to be many mismatches. There were two more shutouts today, but the Penn Yan at Geneva was exciting for most of the game and the Aquinas at Haverling could have gone either way.

# 3091  Little Irish win over Haverling 11-9

Aquinas scored the first four goals of the game and held off a late push by Haverling to defeat the Rams 11-9.  The eleventh goal was scored as time expired, and Haverling was in the game until the final seconds.  There was standout play by Joey Sciortino (3g) and Zach Kelsey (2g-4a) for the Little Irish and Brady Dickson (3g-1a) and Jamie O`Neil (1g-3a) for the Rams.

# 3083  Two Late Goals Give Aquinas the Win

Tuesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Livonia-Avon travelled to Aquinas tonight in the closest game of the day. After a 3-3 tie at the end of the first quarter, Livonia scored three unanswered goals to lead at the half 6-3.

# 3075  Aquinas Has Lots of Multisport Athletes

Aquinas stuggled in 2019 and ended with their first loosing season since 2001 and so they were ramped up to play last year. Coach Pat Olbrich has some athletic multi-sport athletes as the core of his team this year and a schedule that will give them lots of opportunities for a great season.
